Christopher Homes Inc. was established in 1986 as a Michigan corporation. The owners of Holsbeke Construction Inc., Raymond Holsbeke and his son, Christopher Holsbeke, had constructed a couple of houses during the winter months for many years to keep themselves busy when their concrete business slowed down because of the cold Michigan weather. After building as a winter hobby for several years they decided it was time to start a business in home construction.

The first project for Christopher Homes Inc. was to build a small subdivision of ten homes in Clinton Township. The starter homes were only about 1,000 sq. ft., much smaller than the homes they had previously built. However, at this point, the volume of houses to be constructed was the challenge. Sales were good and customers were happy with the excellent service and fine quality of their new homes.

Christopher Homes Inc. then continued to build larger homes on off-site lots for customers for a few years before venturing into subdivisions again. In the early 1990's Christopher Homes Inc. constructed most of the homes in the Camelot Subdivision in Bruce Township. Since the Romeo area was growing quickly, after completing Camelot, they moved to Park Place, an adjacent subdivision. Around the same time, they opened a model for North Hampton Subdivision in Macomb Township.

In 1996-1997, Christopher Homes Inc. continued to build in Bruce Twp. constructing 2,000-2,699 square foot homes. In 1998, they opened new models in the Aurora Park Subdivision, located in Shelby Twp. There they built 2,600-3,000 square foot homes in a three phase subdivision. Christopher Homes Inc. is now starting a new development in Chesterfield Twp., called Oakbrooke Estates Subdivision. It has twenty plus lots available. In addition, Christopher Homes has a few lots available in the new Twin Rivers Subdivision located in Macomb Twp.
